Training

I earned my Clinical Doctorate (Psy.D.) in Psychoanalysis at the Institute of Contemporary Psychoanalysis in Los Angeles (ICP) in 2003, where I was a supervising and training analyst and active member of ICP’s Task Force Against Racism and Homophobia. I earned a Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology at Antioch University, Los Angeles, in 1984, and have been licensed in California as a Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT 29762) since 1991.

I maintain a private practice in Santa Monica since 1991. From 2007-2018, I was primary psychotherapist and manager of patient care for persons choosing residential psychiatric treatment at Bridges to Recovery, Pacific Palisades. I provided outpatient psychotherapy for individuals and families at UCLA - NeuroPsychiatric Institute (UCLA-NPI) from 1999 to 2001, and from 1986-1996 was psychotherapist for individuals, groups, couples and families at Southern California Counseling Center, where I also trained and supervised interns.
